Pantone Inc. is widely recognized as the authority on colour and every year they declare a colour of the year. For 2016, the colours, yes, colours, of the year are Rose Quartz and Serenity. According to Pantone, the colours were chosen according to “societal movements toward gender equality and fluidity, the consumer’s increased comfort with using color as a form of expression, a generation that has less concern about being typecast or judged and an open exchange of digital information that has opened our eyes to different approaches to color usage.”

This is quite a departure from Marsala last year which was a rich hue that packed a punch. These choices are much more relaxing and subdued. Here are some ideas on how to incorporate Rose Quartz and Serenity into your home:
